Embroidery Project

The title for our embroidery brief is ‘OBJECT OF DESIRE’, and as a theme i have chosen to look at clothes shops and their visual merchandising, and how the products are advertised in a way that makes them more desirable, as well as images of clothes and accessories, and the colours/materials/styles that are currently fashionable
Starting off with some photography and drawings around the shops in Nottingham, photos coming soon,

New ideas, refreshed blog..

So, I decided today that i wanted to start a blog to show my progress throughout the remainder of the first year of my degree, and what better way than to dig up my tumblr account and carry on from there (i mean, who wants to be starting new blogs all over the place?)
Anyywayyysss, I’m studying BA Hons Decorative Arts (think crafts, textiles, metalwork, ceramics, print, glass, mixed media) i’ll be posting photos of my work and blogging about it too, from intial drawings to the final realisations, along with other images, photos and exhibitions that i like, as i hope to create a visually intresting, artistic blog, which hopefully people will like.

its all a work in progress…..

Amelia x
